Garmin Vivomove Trend hybrid smartwatch with wireless charging

Works with Qi-certified chargers

Smartwatches that look like analog watches is nothing new. But the Vivomove Trend is Garmin's first device that come with Qi wireless charging capability. Now you don't have to worry about losing proprietary smartwatch chargers. The thing is, the Trend does not come with a Qi charger in the box. So if you don't have a Qi charger you'd have to use Garmin's proprietary clip charger that comes with the watch.

The battery lasts for up to 5 days in smartwatch mode and 6 days in analog mode, which is the same as what you get from Vivomove Style and Vivomove Luxe. And 15 minutes of charging will give one day of battery life in smartwatch mode. However, the Trend comes with a monochrome LCD like the Vivomove Sport and is almost twice the price. Like all 4 Vivomoves, the hidden touchscreen display is revealed by tapping or swiping the screen. But among the 4 Vivomoves, the Trend is the only one with wireless charging capabilities.

The Trend is not a serious sports watch like the usual Garmin offerings. It doesn't have built-in GPS and instead opts for connected GPS. And the 5 days of battery life is short for a Garmin sports watch.

It's great good looking smartwatch for everyday use though. It features Garmin Pay, sleep tracking, energy tracking, heart rate monitor, stress tracking, pulse ox sensor, menstrual cycle tracking, pregnancy tracking, respiration tracking, fitness age, intensity tracking, fitness tracking, hyration tracking, timer, stopwatch, email/text notifications, and preloaded sports apps.
