A refinement of a controversial shoe
There's a reason why the Nike Vaporfly was banned from competition by World Athletics. They're so good the organization considered it cheating. The Vaporfly 3 is a refined version of the original with improved stability and more energy return among other improvements. It features the same propulsive feel from the pairing of a full-length carbon fiber Flyplate and ZoomX midsole found in the Vaporfly 2 but the the Vaporfly 3's reductive midsole geometry features a convex shape around the forefoot for a comfortable and stable ride.
The fit and feel of the Vaporfly 3 is made better by the Flyknit yarn upper with the number 57 embedded as a graphics text on the midsole as a nod to the number of iterations the Nike team tested for the upper. Available starting March 2023.
