Gold winner of the German Design Award 2023, the MATE SUV presents itself the first real alternative to the car. It's a ebike with a sleek forward-facing cargo that fits 2 children or 1 adult. Made for bicycle-friendly cities like Copenhagen, it features an Italian-made Oli Edge 250W motor capable of going up to 16 mph (25 km/h) and has a range of up to 62 miles (100 km). The average commute distance in cities is about 42 miles.
The MATE SUV utilises a mid drive motor, which gives the best power-to-weight ratio compared to hub motor systems. The motor produces up to 90nM of torque enough for the rider and 2 children or 1 adult. Twin hydraulic brakes ensure that you can safely stop when you need to.
To enhance safety, the bike comes with integrated front and back lights as well lights around the cargo box. It also comes with a live-location-tracking anti-theft protection and a USB jack to charge your devices.
The bike has a carbon belt drive and a Enviolo Heavy Duty Hub that require very little maintenance and doesn't leave oil marks on clothing. Optional accessories include an all-weather roof for the cargo, child seat, and off road tires.
