10 Reasons to buy the Gold Theragun
The 24K Gold Edition G3Pro is twice as expensive as the normal G3Pro ($599) but has the same functions and capabilities. So why the heck would you buy a Gold Edition Theragun? After trying hard, I've come up with 10 reasons:
- To give as a gift to someone you care about who's also an athlete
- You're a superstar athlete with loads of money and loves to spend it (think Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor)
- As a reward for yourself
- You want to be one of only 999 people to own it
- You believe you can sell it for more
- You only buy expensive things
- You only buy things that have gold
- You need to have the most expensive version of anything
- You collect these things
- You don't like the color of the original G3Pro and love this one and will pay for it
What's the difference?
For about $600 more than the usual price you get a G3Pro handcrafted with meticulously sourced pure 24K gold plating on three key areas on the handle and gearbox.
I'm not sure of the benefits of having gold on the gearbox since you can't even see the gearbox. Perhaps it's for better conductivity of the connections to electrical supply and hence responsiveness of the product but it's just speculation.
Another difference is that you get two extra accessories: a world travel charger and a charging stand.
Everything else seems to be similar. They even have the same number of tip attachments included.
What can a Theragun G3Pro do?
The G3Pro is one of the best percussive massagers available on the market. It gives you the deepest massage out of any massage gun thanks partly to its 16mm stroke length. Combined with the G3Pro's 60 lbs of force and ergonomic grip, it helps release knots, cramps, and spasms without putting stress on your hands and wrists.
Compared to other percussive massagers that feel more like vibrations at high speeds, the G3Pro feels like it's hammering deep into your muscles in a satisfactory way. It relieves soreness, speeds up recovery, increases strength, flexibility, coordination, and performance.
The adjustable arm on the G3Pro makes it easier for you to reach different parts of your body. You can also switch between high speed for parts of your body that need deep treatment and a slower speed for sore areas.
If you don't have much muscle mass, the G3Pro might not be suitable for you as it might be too powerful. For a skinny person something like the HyperVolt would be more fitting because of its shorter stroke length.
However, the biggest downside to the G3Pro or any Theragun model for that matter is the noise and there's no reason to believe it's any different with the Gold Edition. Though it is quieter than older versions by 50%.
Depending on the speed and how much pressure you apply, the G3Pro can run for up to 75 minutes and comes with 2 batteries. It takes 75 minutes to fully charge the battery so you can use one and charge the other.
