Highest level of water resistance and breathability
For backpackers and mountaineers, having less weight to carry is always welcomed. The Samaya Radical 1 tent is an extremely lightweight 1-person 4-season tent weighting just 1 lb 8 oz (690 g), which is about the same weight as a sleeping bag like the Therm-a-Rest Parsec 32. In fact most sleeping bags are heavier than the Radical 1. This light weight is achieved thanks to the use of Dyneema, a material known for its high strength and low weight.
The Radical 1 has a dome structure held together by carbon hoops, which makes suitable for even the extreme conditions of the Alpine environment while keeping the tent light. The Dyneema is combined with an expanded Teflon membrane for a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm and breathability rating of 40,000 g/m2. These waterproof and breathability ratings mean that the Radical 1 provide the highest level of water resistance and breathability.
The Samaya Radical 1 is tearproof, lightweight, waterproof, breathable, and provides decent protection in all weather conditions. It also packs into a small 2-litre bag making a great option for backpackers and mountaineers.
