The Altra Torin IQ measures your foot strike, cadence, impact force and stride, and presents the data on a smartphone app to be used to improve your running form and avoid injuries. It can also coach you in real time.
The sensors do not add weight to the Torin IQ and are powered by a small replaceable battery, which can be expected to last about 400 miles of running.
The shoe itself is moderately cushioned and comfortable on pavement with a breathable upper and wide forefoot.
