The Whoop Strap 3.0 does not come with a screen. In order to look at the analytics from the data collected by the strap, you need to download the Whoop app on your iOS or Android device.

The Whoop app focuses on three main metrics: Strain, Recovery, and Sleep. For each metric you can go in deeper into the details. For example, under Strain you can look at the statistics of the day compared to a 30-day average and see your daily Strain score over a week presented on a graph.

The app also gives you the Strain Coach to get exertion level recommendations based on how recovered your body is. With the app, you can also overlay WHOOP data onto videos or photos for you to either share, save, or analyze.

Free device with membership

The Whoop Strap is free when you join the membership program. But you only get the black version for free. If you want another color (6 to choose from) you need to pay an additional €39. The subscription fee is $30 per month and you need to commit to a 6-month subscription in order to qualify for the free Whoop 3.0.

To save on the subscription fee, an 18-month membership will cost you $18 per month. Over the course of the 18 months, that's a savings of $216.
