The Garmin Fenix 3 Multipart GPS Watch seems like a normal watch and it probably looks good enough for any occasion at least for me. But we all know Garmin doesn’t do normal watches and predictably enough, behind the good looks is a fully capable adventure watch with the ability to save a specific location as a home base that you can easily find your way back to after hours of exploring.
Trace your steps
You can also set it to leave what can be described as a GPS breadcrumbs so you can accurately trace your steps back to where you started. In case a satellite signal is unavailable, the Fenix 3 includes a three-axis electronic compass, barometer, and altimeter to navigate a map with.
Activity Tracker and Smart Watch
The Fenix 3 is also an activity tracker that can track and display strokes, pace, and distance when you’re swimming; display speed and vertical drop when you’re skiing down a mountain; and tracks the number of steps and calories burned for every day fitness. It can also remind you to get up and walk around if you’ve inactive for over an hour. If you want, you can connect the Fenix 3 to your smartphone using Bluetooth to get alerts for email, messages, and phone calls.
