Vivobarefoot Motus Strength JJF: Unleashing Your Natural Force with 360° Health

Sustainable, Comfortable, Breathable, Grippy, Stylish

What's the pulse of life? A relentless beat, a tireless rhythm. It’s the very force of nature itself, pulsing in our veins, thumping in our hearts. It’s the same rhythm I see in the Vivobarefoot Motus Strength JJF, a pair of barefoot trainers that embody the essence of the phrase “be a force of nature”.

Born out of a collaboration with top surfer John John Florence, these shoes are designed with a singular focus in mind: 360° health. This philosophy aligns closely with my own mantra; embrace the rawness of life, harness your own inner potential and let your body do what it was built to do.

The Motus Strength doesn't simply offer footwear, it offers a philosophy. It wants you to reclaim the raw. It urges you to be the super-organism you were always meant to be. These aren't just shoes, they're catalysts for your own evolution.

When I look at these trainers, I see a masterclass in ethical manufacturing. Their components are made with 85% RPET and 15% Elastane, the overlays composed of a blend of TPU, Hotmelt, and Polyeurathene. Even the laces are 100% RPET. The Vietnamese artisans who put their heart and soul into these creations also prevent waste from going to landfills, something we all should take to heart.

The construction quality is excellent. They’ve included a breathable mesh that should keep your feet comfortable and cool, even under the harshest of conditions. The Ortholite Performance Insole is a conscious effort to curb waste. It’s made of 98% recycled PU foam, which significantly reduces the use of virgin plastics. But these considerations aren't just about the environment, they're about your feet too. The insoles are designed to be active, to support and cushion your steps, enhancing your comfort level significantly.

The Motus Strength Outsole has a traction-enhanced 2mm base, equipped with raised 1.5mm lugs, which will afford you the best grip and durability, regardless of the terrain. A nod to the brand’s barefoot trainers philosophy, these shoes won’t hinder your natural gait, they'll enhance it.

The design doesn't stop at function, it encapsulates style as well. The Obsidian-Dark Shadow color lends it a stealthy, sophisticated appearance. This isn't just a shoe; it's a statement piece.

However, the real genius of this shoe lies in the midfoot sidewalls. Designed with cross training in mind, they offer optimized support during lateral movements or changes in direction. This is a shoe built for movement, not just forward, but in all directions.

The Vivobarefoot Motus Strength JJF is not just a pair of shoes, it’s a testament to the raw potential of the human spirit. It’s the footwear embodiment of the belief that we can – and should – do better by the environment while staying true to our own nature.

Wearing these shoes is not just a step, it’s a journey. A journey into the raw, unadulterated heart of the world, echoing with the relentless rhythm of life. So, lace up, step out, and let the rhythm guide you.

  1. Environmentally Conscious: The shoe is made with a high proportion of recycled materials, reducing waste and preventing landfill. This makes it an excellent choice for environmentally-conscious consumers.
  2. Breathability and Comfort: The breathable mesh offers comfort and prevents your feet from overheating during intense activities. The Ortholite Performance Insole is also designed to provide comfort and reduce foot fatigue.
  3. Designed for 360° Health: With its barefoot trainer design, the shoe encourages natural movement. This can aid in improving your balance, strength, and sensory perception, which aligns with the philosophy of holistic health.
  4. Superb Traction: The Motus Strength Outsole with enhanced traction and raised lugs offers excellent grip and durability on various terrains. This is especially beneficial for those engaging in cross training or similar activities.
  5. Sophisticated Design: The Obsidian-Dark Shadow color gives it a sleek and stylish look. It's not just a training shoe, it's also a fashionable piece of footwear.

  1. Cost: Priced at $200, the shoe falls into a higher price range. This might not be affordable for everyone, especially those on a budget.
  2. Material Durability: The shoe incorporates a significant proportion of recycled materials. While this is environmentally friendly, there could be potential concerns about the long-term durability of these materials compared to traditional options.
  3. Specific Design: The minimalist design of these shoes is intentional, promoting a more natural feeling during movement. However, some people might find the lack of cushioning uncomfortable, especially if they're used to more traditional, cushioned trainers.
  4. Made in Vietnam: While this doesn't necessarily reflect on the quality of the shoe, some consumers prefer products manufactured in their home country or in countries with stricter labor regulations.
  5. Color Options: As of the given details, it appears that there is only one color option available. Some consumers prefer more variety when it comes to choosing the aesthetics of their shoes.
